Inspiration






Inspired by the Big Bang theory, circles have existed since the dawn of time and can be witnessed in the echoes of sound. They symbolize the circle of life and nature's unending laws, encompassing the transformations of all things.






It is a significant form of Chinese theatre originating in Guangdong Province located in southern China. It has gained popularity in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asian Chinese communities.


Distribution





Many popular plays performed nowadays, like "The Flower Princess" or "The Purple Hairpin", have their origins in the Ming and Yuan Dynasties. The productions include dialogue and scripts in Cantonese and used to feature male actors playing all female parts up until the 20th century.



Concept





Combining Cantonese opera and meta-verse is my core idea. The combination of Cantonese opera and the metaverse is the core concept of my project. The use of metaverse technology as an emerging medium offers a promising platform for the dissemination of Cantonese opera to a wider public, especially to the younger demographic. My aim is to explore the potential of promoting Cantonese opera through the metaverse format.
